A worthy sendoff
Today is a co-worker's last day. He's moving back to California to rejoin his family after spending the last 6 years here.We all went out for lunch, had a few drinks, and lots of really good food. Spent about 2 hours out of the office just bullshitting and carrying on. It was great.
After that we came back and had a little party for him, including a scrumptious pineapple upside down cake. That baby was awesome. Earlier we had all passed a card around for everyone to sign for him, and we ran out of room. So we cut down 3 extra pages to fit inside for all to be able to sign. As he read it he cried. The company owner bought him an ipod and music download giftcard to help pass the time on his long drive. As the soon to be departed hugged the owner, they both cried. So sweet... We'll all miss him very much, but I know he'll love his new life in California.
