Company basketball team
Last night was our company's first basketball game.It all started about 8 months ago. A guy from work had a basketball goal. He lives way out in the boonies, and has no pavement. Because of that, he brought the goal to work and put it in the back loading dock.
Every day at lunch and on breaks the boys are out there hooping it up. It's pretty fun for us all to watch, and gives everyone a nice touch of exercise and stress relief in the middle of the afternoon.
Anyhow, they got the bright idea to join a men's league, and last night was the first game. It was pretty sad.
See, our boys don't have a court to play on. They play less than a half-court, on concrete. There is no referee, no markings for out of bounds. Everyone gets out there, plays a quick round of HORSE to decide teams, and gets going.
Last night was foul city. The other team whooped up on them really badly, and we lost 71-35.
Oh well.... they did look cute in their jerseys though. Some even had matching shoes.
